Training - Booking Terms and Conditions

We require that you supply a valid purchase order number when booking a place on a JISC Digital Media workshop. We will invoice your organisation (referencing that PO number) at the billing address you provide.

If you want to pay by credit card or purchasing card, please put "Pay by card" in the Purchase Order Number field of the booking form, and we will send you a link to pay by card via our online shop.

By submitting the booking form, you are liable for the course fees. We cannot provisionally hold or reserve places via the booking form.

You may use the booking form to book onto more than one course.

If you are booking for more than one person, you will need to use a separate form for each person attending. If you are filling out the form on behalf of the person attending the course, please provide their contact details not yours.

JISC Digital Media will charge an administration fee for course cancellations or transfers. This policy will work in the following way:

  • The administration fee will be £40 if you cancel your place before 7 days (5 working days) of the course date
  • If you cancel your place within 7 days (5 working days) of the course date you will not receive any refund or be able to move your booking to another date.
  • If, after having booked a course place, you choose to transfer to another course within the term-based programme being currently advertised on the JISC Digital Media website, there will be an admin fee of £20
  • If you choose to transfer and then cancel your course place you will be liable to pay the whole of the course fee plus the transfer admin fee in full

JISC Digital Media reserves the right to cancel courses, but will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible in any such instance. JISC Digital Media cancellations will only take place under extenuating circumstances. In these rare instances, you will be offered a place on the same course on another date, if being held within the same term-based programme. If this is not convenient a full refund will be given.

Venue

Details of how to reach the course venue will be sent to you. Courses in Bristol will be held at the IT Services R & D / ILRT, University of Bristol. Details of how to reach the Institute are available from the Institute's Maps and Directions page.

ILRT is situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a listed Georgian townhouse with complex access facilities. There is disabled wheelchair access from the disabled parking area to the rear of the building on the groundfloor and an internal lift to fit wheelchairs up to the main offices, Hawaii Suite (where most JISC Digital Media courses take place) and Videoconferencing facilities which are all based on the 3rd floor.

If you are a wheelchair user or have any other disability which would need to use an 'evacuation chair' in the case of fire or other emergency, it is important that you contact the event organiser at least 2 weeks prior to your visit so that necessary arrangements can be made.

Courses start at 10am and end by 4.30pm.

Standby Places

If a course is full we are more than happy to take reservation bookings in case a place becomes available.
