Computer Arts (monthly)
Claims to be the world’s best-selling magazine for digital artists and designers.  Includes features such as tutorials, tips, tricks and hardware and software reviews.

Digital Arts (monthly)
Claims to be the UK’s leading resource for creative professionals.  Provides comprehensive coverage on issues of graphic design, 3D, animation, video effects and Web and interactive design.

Digital Camera Magazine (monthly)
Claims to be the biggest digital photography magazine.  The target audience for this magazine is the creative digital photographer who wishes to improve their skills in taking and making pictures.

Digital Creative Arts (monthly)
Claims to be the biggest and best magazine on the planet for creative computer users.  Covers topics of digital imaging, illustration, digital video, 3D and digital audio.

Digital Photographer (monthly)
An American magazine aimed at digital imaging enthusiasts.  It provides guides on buying equipment and tutorials on editing images and other related topics.

MacUser (fortnightly)
MacUser is aimed at the professional and creative markets: core readers are anticipated to work in graphics, design and publishing, video and audio.  Provides news and reviews.

Personal Computer World (monthly)
Provides information on imaging hardware and software. Also provides buyers guides and downloads.

Professional Photographer (monthly)
This is the official magazine of the “Professional Photographers of America”.  Aimed at helping photographers furthering their careers, each issue includes tutorials and reviews of photographic and imaging equipment.

What Digital Camera (monthly)
Claims to be the UK’s premier digital photography magazine.  Provides “authoritative, unbiased and in-depth camera, scanner, printer and software reviews”.

Web Magazines and Newsletters

Ariadne Magazine, UKOLN
Quarterly magazine aimed mainly at information science professionals in education to “report on information service developments and information networking issues worldwide, keeping the busy practitioner abreast of current digital library initiatives”. The current issue and all back issues are available free of charge on the site, and it also possible to search for specific articles.

D-Lib Magazine, Corporation for National Research Initiatives
A monthly US-based electronic magazine looking at digital library research and development, “including but not limited to new technologies, applications, and contextual social and economic issues”. This publication is available free of charge, as are back issues which are all accessible on the site. It is also possible to browse author and title indexes and search the site.

Digital Photography Review, Askey.Net Consulting
Independent site providing news and extensive reviews of all major digital cameras. News items relating to digital imaging and photography are updated daily. Users can compare camera features side-by-side, take part in discussion forums, browse a digital camera timeline and use an interactive buyers guide to select appropriate cameras by specific features. The site is free to access.

First Monday, University of Illinois at Chicago
Free, monthly peer-reviewed Web journal publishing articles on “all aspects of the Internet, including comments on trends and standards, technical issues, political and social implications of the Internet, and educational uses”. Articles can be searched for or browsed using article and author indexes.
