Over at Techcrunch, Michael Seibel of Justin.tv highlights several problems with live video on the web.

Two of the problems that Michael mentions are:
"Being tethered to a computer is the single biggest problem in live video today."
and
"Getting viewers."

Hi John,
Thanks for the links. I have come across the RSC live stream before so thanks for reminding me and letting others discover it.
We get asked about live video quite regularly and it will be interesting to see this area continue to evolve.

A dozen reasons TV shows get made BESIDES ratings is worth a read. RSC- Northwest does a live broadcast once a month and in-between shows a monthly loop of clips. View at http://www.rsc-northwest.ac.uk/acl/RSC_TV/index.html or http://www.livestream.com/locus if viewers wish to join in the chat during live broadcasts
