EdMediaShare - our proof of concept video sharing site - has generated a lot of positive feedback since we announced it last week.

EdMediaShare 130911We've received support from educators working in a range of disciplines – Languages, Archaeology, Media Studies and Sociology - who recognise the enormous value of pedagogically-based sorting of online content and the potential of EdMediaShare to improve finding useful online video. Like most good ideas, EdMediaShare is not unique, The concept has some similarities with WatchKnowLearn1, a video sharing site for K12 educators in the US - but unlike this site it will use a pedagogical framework2 to facilitate ease of searching.

We've added over 200 titles to the site so far and the number increases daily. Please use the online form to recommend videos you use to support your teaching, learning and research. As well as recommendations from educators, we'd also like to hear from learners.
