JISC MediaHub has just launched. The JISC-funded service provides access to a range of digital media collections.

The service website contains lots of collections, some of which are free to all whilst others will be available pending your institutions subcription.
In my initial test I was able to log-in via federated access to watch a video of mist passing over the Golden Gate bridge and then download the clip (in either WMV or ogg Theora formats).
The FAQ page contains helpful guidance about the service and terms of use which I suggest you use as your starting point.
I look forward to seeing how the service develops particularly as I was a usability test subject ahead of the launch.
